A Real Barbie That Gets Her Period – Would You Buy This For Your Daughter?

Well, it’s that time of the month for Barbie!

In a move to educate young girls about menstruation, a company responsible for the Lammily Doll, which alleges to be the only “real” Barbie-type doll with average body proportions, is marketing what they call a “Period Party Barbie.”

To help parents talk to their daughters about periods, the doll will come with an educational pamphlet, undies for the doll, a period-tracking calendar, and 18 reusable pads and liner stickers.

There’s also a promotional video, featured below, that shows “uncool” parents unsuccessfully trying to talk to their daughter about menstruation.
