Alabama Gun Range Posts Photo Of Baby Holding Firearms – Good Or Bad Idea?
An Alabama shooting complex’s Facebook photo has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. Now the complex is defending its decision to post a picture of a baby surrounded by firearms.
It’s a controversial topic to begin with – firearms, firearms safety and what rights and regulations should come with them. The Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex allows people to exercise their right to bear arms, and to come shoot at their range. But they insist firearms safety is their #1 priority.
But did they go too far when they posted a picture on their Facebook page that shows a baby holding a handgun surrounded by rifles?
“Primarily here at Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex, we promote firearm safety, so in order to stimulate a little dialogue, we put up a controversial picture in effort to get people’s feedback and get some awareness about that topic,” said Lily Ann Gibbs of the Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex.
The owners said they do not condone the picture, but it was just to stimulate conversation.
