Christians Deeply Offended By This “Jesus Is Muslim” Billboard.
The Islamic group, “Ask a Muslim”, is running “Jesus is Muslim” billboard campaign all around Columbus Ohio, and many many Christians are not happy about it.
The controversial billboards are drawing protests from local Christians who say Muslims are “hijacking” the name of Jesus.
Coach Dave Daubenmire of Pass the Salt Ministries said in a statement, “Although we support the Islamic communities right to free speech, as well as their right to post messages on billboards, we do not support the hijacking of the name of Jesus Christ in their attempts to lure uninformed Christians into their religion.”
The “Ask a Muslim” Group says that it is dedicated to educating people about Islam. “We believe that clearing up the many misconceptions about Islam will make this world a better place. A place with a less violence and hatred, filled with mutual respect and understanding,” the group says.
The group’s website says, “For starters, Muslims are Christians – if “Christian” means someone following the teachings of Christ, so by learning about Islam you are not disobeying Jesus.”
