No One Showed Up For Her Autistic Son’s Birthday, So His Mom Asked Facebook For Help.
Earlier this month, the mother of a 6-year-old autistic and epileptic boy, threw a party for her son.
She invited 16 children from his class, and no one showed up.
The birthday boy, Glenn Buratti, was very sad that his friends did not come. But thanks to mom, she changed all of that.
His mother, Ashlee, posted this comment on a local Facebook group, “I know this might be something silly to rant about, but my heart is breaking for my son. We invited his entire class, 16 kids, over for his 6 birthday party today. Not one kid came.”
After posting on the group, 15 children from the area and their parents turned up, but not just them.
Ashley and Glenn were greeted by police officers from the community as well as crews from the Sheriff’s office and Osceola County Fire Rescue.
Glenn received superstar treatment!
“I’m sure the neighbors were peeking out of their windows or taking cover,” Glenn’s dad John wrote on Facebook. “Such an amazing thing for our local law enforcement and firefighters to do for us.”
The Osceola County Sheriff’s office even flew a helicopter low enough over Glenn’s party that the pilot was able to wave at him.
Happy birthday to Glenn! We are so happy it turned out to be such an awesome day for him!
