These Twins Umbilical Cords Were Every Parents Worst Nightmare

Kate was full of joy and anticipation, as any parent would be, when she found out she was pregnant with twins.

However, when the doctor told her her twins had a big problem, that joy turned to fear.

The doctor explained to Kate that her twins were mono amniotic, meaning they had no dividing membrane, so there umbilical cords were wrapped around each other.

This meant that the twins were unlikely to survive.

“MoMo’s” as they are commonly referred to, are known to be the closest of twins because of how entwined they are inside the womb – that is IF they survive.

After five weeks in the hospital, Kate and her husband welcomed the new baby twins into their lives.

The doctors examined the umbilical cords and what they found left them speechless.

As it turned out, the entanglement was more severe than previously thought, with an actual knot at one point.

Miraculously, they were delivered just in time.

Now, 8 years old, these “MoMo’s”are closer than ever, the best of friends.
