The woman in the photo is from Chongqing, China and was born with a very rare disorder that caused her to be born with backwards feet.

Even though this may seem like a huge disability, the woman, Wang Fang isn’t letting this stop her from living a full and productive life. Initially doctors believed that Fang’s feet facing backwards would not allow her to walk ever.

She has seemingly proved those doctors wrong. “I can run faster than most of my friends and have a regular job as a waitress in the family restaurant. There is no reason to classify my as disabled.” Fang says. “I can walk as well as anyone else and even run faster than them. I’m like everyone else, except of course that I put my shoes on backwards.”

Truly a story of overcoming great obstacles and making a life worth something, no matter how easy it would be to give up.

If you ever feel like life isn’t fair, just remember that at least you weren’t born with your feet facing backwards.
