Authorities are saying that Ana Maria Moreta Folch (pictured to the right) hired a heavy equipment operator to bulldoze her neighbors trailer by saying it was hers and she wanted it and the septic tank destroyed. Why you might ask? Moreta Folch believed that her neighbor, Maria Gottfried (pictured to the left), was responsible for breaking into her car and she also believed that she was “unsavory.” Doesn’t sound like the best logic but hey I’m sure she thought the plan through enough to know what to do when Gottfried came back right? Nope. As soon as she came home she called the police and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s deputies were called out, eventually figuring out it was Moreta Folch.
She was charged with criminal mischief, which is a third-degree felony, but was released on $10,000 bail on Wednesday. I guess next time she decides to bulldoze someone’s house she might think twice about the consequences or about the fact that she will defiantly get caught. The strange thing is that Gottfried said that she thought that her and Moreta Folch had a good relationship.
