Bethany was a successful college student at Trent University working on her degrees in French, history, and education. Her lifelong dream was to become a teacher.

But all of that changed on August 2, 2010, when 26-year-old Bethany was on a road trip and decided to rest her feet on the dashboard.

A motorcycle collided with a car, a tractor slammed on his brakes to avoid the crash, and Bethany’s boyfriend, who was driving behind the tractor-trailer, slammed into the back of the vehicle. Fortunately, Bethany and her boyfriend survived but the injuries were severe.

Bethany suffered bleeding in the brain, facial injuries as well as injuries to her knees and feet. The wreck left her in so much pain she is mentally unable to continue her education.
