Media artist, Aram Bartholl, Has been a busy man – And what he’s doing is truly amazing!
Bartholl has been leaving a trail of USB drives, USB dead drops, hidden in plain sight buried in walls of stone and other places.
He has created an anonymous off-line peer-to-peer files haring network in public spaces by placing a number of USB drives around the world.
Bartholl His inviting everybody to drop their files on the dead drop. All you have to do is plug in your laptop.
he started this project five years ago and since then it’s been replicated around the world, with hundreds of off-line sites waiting for your visit.
To find the nearest dead drop, you can go to Bartholl’s database. You will be shocked to see how many locations have been set up. It will also give you instructions on how to set up your own dead drop.
