Preachers Million Dollar Mansions And Private Jets Purchased With Tax Free Church Money. Is This Okay To Do?
There was an episode that aired on Inside Edition that investigated TV preachers living like Rock Stars, abusing donations to live their lavish lifestyles.
In the video below, they showed some of the most popular TV preachers in the United States. Weekly, they urge their followers to donate generously, saying in return the Lord will bring them prosperity.
But it seems that the only people prospering in this deal, are the preachers themselves. They live like rock stars, with multi-million dollar mansions, private jets, and luxury cars. So extreme, that 6 of them have been investigated by the U.S. Senate. Some of them include, Kenneth Copeland, Paula White, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn and Joyce Myers.
Not one of them agreed to be interviewed by Inside Edition regarding their opulent lifestyles.
Sure, in the Bible they talk about prosperity and abundance but what no “preacher” wants to acknowledge is the fact that they were talking about the spirit, not money. Prosperity and abundance of the soul.
Abundance of the soul was what Jesus was trying to teach. Much different from what the church tries to teach today. Why? Because televangelism alone is a $3 billion industry, untaxed and unregulated. It’s a big moneymaker, and these TV preachers found their niche.
Oh, and by the way, Jesus was homeless. Someone might want to let them know that.
