Julie Fennell rescued a dog after she saw him sitting on the side of a road on Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas.
But it is why the dog was sitting on the side of the road, that shocked everyone who saw him.
A three-year-old Great Pyrenees was showing his undivided loyalty to his dog friend that was presumably hit by a car. He simply sat there protecting his friend for hours mourning his loss.
The rescuer and a friend drove the dog and the deceased dog to the Dallas animal services in separate cars. “He didn’t realize, I guess, that we had taken her into another car, and he had climbed into the back of my little car and was kind of squishing himself into the window to try to look for her as we were driving away,” Fennell told Fox 4 News.
Initially, the Dallas animal services could not identify the dog because he did not have a microchip. But it didn’t take long for the family to contact the organization. That’s when it was discovered that the dog was named Brian and the deceased was Marley. They both belong to the family. The two dogs had run off over the weekend.
