While Chris has proven time and again to be a lovable, huggable, pooh-bear of a man, he was recently showered with all kinds of advice to help him with his new role.
- Help grow her assertiveness
Chris knows how to be assertive. Yes, it may be beyond Brown’s understanding as to why a woman might want to be assertive…okay, it is beyond his understanding, but girls just like boys need to assert themselves to get ahead in life.
- Unleash your inner fashionista
Many girls love to play dress up and include their fathers in the fun. Brown should decide if he is a summer or a winter complexion. That way he can help decide what color lipstick would look best for afternoon pretend tea.
- Talk less, Listen More
Girls should express themselves both great and small. Chris will need to not talk about Chris to give his little girl time to speak. Chris may have to work on this one later. Much later. In fact, he should skip to the next advice.
- Teach her about sexism
Today’s society continues to hold onto misguided gender roles. Women should not hold certain jobs. Women should not play sports. As Chris’s previous life choices have shown, he should easily see sexism at play and be able to point it out to his daughter.
