After 14 years, Frans Hofmeester is finally done filming his movie. Frans started taking video of his daughter Lotte as soon as she was born on October 28, 1999, and finally finished filming recently. The end result is this viral video, which shows Lotte growing from a baby to a beautiful teen in a mere four minutes and five seconds. “She was changing at such a rapid pace, that I felt the need to document the way she looked, to keep my memory intact,” he writes on his website.
Frans’ perseverance paid off in this gorgeous tribute to the first 14 years of his daughter’s life, which has been viewed over 15,000,000 times. The video also serves as a heartbreaking expression of the common experience all parents face, which is watching their children grow from infants into adults right before their eyes.
