‘Honey Boo Boo’ Show Cancelled After Mama June Dates Child Molester.
TMZ reports today that the TCL show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” has been cancelled after learning that Mama June is dating a child molester who sexually abused one of her relatives.
The decision came 1 day after TMZ reported that June was secretly dating Mark McDaniel.
McDaniel was just released from prison in March after serving a 10 year sentence for forcing 0ral sex on an 8 year old.
Although June denied these allegations, TLC did not believe her. They immediately cancelled the show because they felt she was putting her children at risk.
TLC has shot an entire new season of episodes and will not be airing them. Even though the show’s ratings have fallen, TLC says it will be taking a financial hit because the show is still very profitable.
Still, the network will not turn its back on the kid, saying, “Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”
Sources told TMZ that the network will pay for tutors and counselors for the kids.
