I Ate Pizza Hut Last Night, What I Found In The Box Made My Skin Crawl.
If you ask anyone that knows me, I am a very healthy eater – I try to avoid meat, dairy and eat all organic when I’m at home.
But the only way you can survive eating like this, is to once in a while give yourself a “cheat night” and indulge in the tastefulness of pleasure food.
My weakness is (WAS) Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust Pizza! Just the thought of it would make my mouth water. So, I went to the online app, ordered three pizzas for family and friends and drove to the East Las Vegas location to pick it up.
I got there early so I had to wait, so I know the pizza was fresh out of the oven. When I got home I opened the box to grab myself a slice of pizza, I went to separate the slice of pizza and a cockroach ran out from underneath the crust! Seriously! I freaked out!
Not only was the $38 I spent on dinner down the drain, but so was that cockroach as it ran out of the box and I flung it into the kitchen sink, ran the water and turned the garbage disposal on.
So, being that my pizza was “fresh out of the oven”, it could only mean that this cockroach and his little friends are hanging out in the pizza boxes as they are stored in the back. And what about the babies they are producing? Did they lay eggs in the pizza box? Were the slices of pizza, already consumed by my family members, laid on top of cockroach eggs that were possibly already in the box? I can just imagine the numbers of cockroaches that are lurking in this East Las Vegas Pizza Hut location.
I contacted the manager of the location who asked me if I wanted to be “compensated with another pizza”. Of course I don’t! So I emailed a complaint to the corporate office. As of yet, I have not heard back from them.
For me, this incident cured my cheat night cravings! I will NEVER eat at Pizza Hut again.
