88-Year-Old Woman Gets Charged With Assaulting A Police Officer After They Respond To The Wrong Address

In Pittsfield, Massachusetts an 88-year- old woman has recently been charged with assaulting a police officer who responded to her home, that later turned out to be the wrong address.

Phyllis Stankiewicz was surprised when the officers arrived at her house. She was so surprised that she answered the door welding a knife and allegedly slapped one of the officers. This was after telling police that there was no crime at her home and that they need to leave her property.

The police were supposedly responding to a disturbance call involving someone with a baseball bat. The house that the police were supposed to respond to was actually a block away from Stankiewicz.

She has pleaded not guilt Friday in District Court to assault and battery of a police officer and was released shortly after.

The woman clearly felt threatened and the police were illegally on her property without her permission. I say that she was more than in her right to do what she did. What do you think? Share this with your friends and let us know.
