How Blind People Describe Beauty, It Will Inspire You

How Blind People Describe Beauty, It Will Inspire You.

Throughout our society today we are corrupted visually with things that make us think or feel a certain way. We see these in forms of commercials and ads, pictures in magazines, TV shows, movies, etc.

In having all of these things changing the way that we view the world, have you ever wondered what it would be like if we were free from all visual corruption. How would we view things that we tend to define with vision.

The people at BuzzFeed decided to interview some people who have either lost or have never had sight to see what their description of beauty is. These responses may just change the way you understand the world, yourself and others around you.

The people interviewed seemed to feel the beauty of the world around them rather then putting labels on them with physical appearance. We can learn a lot from this different perspective. Learning to look at things for what they are instead of how they look can be a humbling and beautiful thing.

Here are some of the quotes from the video, but you should just watch it to hear the quotes for yourself:

“Beauty is the experience.”

“Beauty for me means the real simple things… Opening my eyes in the morning and listening to the birds outside my window chirp.”

“To me beauty is character personality… basically just how the person is.”

“Everyday is a feeling.”

“A person is beautiful because they are true to themselves.”

“Beauty for me is calm, Beauty for me is peace.”

“It’s also people being and doing what is right and what is good and caring about one another.”

“Joy is the most beautiful thing in the world.”
