Park Ranger Found Asleep On Job With Can Of Beer In His Lap.

Being a park ranger, you have certain duties like protecting and preserving the park that you work in.

Well this ranger in a California State Park was not doing either of those things when he was caught sleeping on the job and that’s not the worst part of it all.

He also was caught with a can of beer between his legs as well.

The ranger has since been placed on leave and his peace officer status has been revoked pending an investigation. Apparently a
passerby spotted Tyson Young, the ranger in question, at Humboldt Redwoods State Park on August 15.

He tried to wake the sleeping ranger. “I shook him, really shook him,” said the passerby, who wishes to remain anonymous.

The man then called 911 and took a photo of the ranger that was Tweeted by the Lost coast Outpost.

Young eventually woke up and left the scene, but was later pulled over and arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He is also facing a separate investigation by the California State Parks.

Since Young actually carried a firearm as part of his work uniform a parks spokeswoman said, “We do not tolerate alcohol in the workplace.”
