She Couldn’t Go To The Father Daughter Dance Because She Has No Dad, See How She Changes EVERYTHING!

The Father Daughter dance is a yearly event at Catharine Blaine Elementary School.

For many children it’s a fun event and time to spend one-on-one with their fathers.

But what about the children who have no dad in their lives? Whether it be because they are deployed in the military, ones who passed away, or just not in their child’s life at all.

That leaves a lot of kids out that are being raised by single mothers.

One fourth grader named Francis Vann was given an assignment to write a persuasive essay about anything.

Francis, who has no father in her life, wrote about not being able to attend this event.

“Some fathers have passed away, others are away at war, and some fathers just don’t care,” Francis wrote.

She did not expect her essay to get the attention of school faculty like it did.

Francis’ teacher brought her essay to the attention of the school faculty and something amazing happened.

They listen to Francis and turned the dance into a Family Dance.
