Pikes Peak Claims Life Of Motorcyclist Bobby Goodin

Pikes Peak Claims Life Of Motorcyclist Bobby Goodin. It’s always unfortunate to have to report this type of news. According to Denver Post, Bobby Goodin, a 54 year old racer from Flower Mound, Texas, was pronounced dead yesterday morning at 9:00 AM at Penrose Main Hospital in Colorado Springs. Goodin was a participant in this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and was racing his 2014 Triumph motorcycle in the middleweight class. He did manage to finish the race, but when he attempted to make a stop at the top of the run, his motorcycle careened off the mountain sending him and his bike onto the rocky edge below.

Initial reports stated that Goodin was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries. There were no other racers that were injured in this years running. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Goodin’s family and friends during this difficult time.
